Korean War Stuff 3

I have had a reference book titled "Doughboy to GI : US Army Clothing and Equipment 1900 - 1945" since I was a kid.  I liked watching old war movies and my Grandfather was in the Army Air Forces during WW2.  My reference book only went up to 1945 and I have been making an effort to study other militaria as I see it.  Here is some free info for people out there on the internet.

This set of photos shows a M-1950 Field Trench Coat dated 1951.  The US military redesigned the WW2 era Trench Coat to a new design that had buttons on the inside so a winter wool lining could be used.  The Army had to adapt to harsh winter conditions during the fighting in the Korean mountains.  Many American soldiers suffered frostbite due to the cold.
