Hitler's Hat

Description

This is a photo of me when I was 14 years old in 1996. I got to go check out a private collection of militaria that was owned by the top collector of German military items Mr. Wolf. He had Hitler's 1930's uniform. He got it from a US WW2 Vet, 1st LT Philip Benjamin Lieber, that looted Hitler's apartment in Munich. I was able to try Hitler's hat on for this photo. I had my Russian Good Will Games shirt on that had a large black ink stain. I also took off my WW2 US M-1941 "Jeep Cap" so I could try on Hitler's hat. I was cracking up laughing when this photo was taken. I thought it was cool that the American GI looked up Hitler's address and got a cool war trophy. I didn't take this photo, I'm just the guy in it. Hitler was a crazy madman and killed a lot of people...

I'll have to dedicate this one to Mel Brooks.  "It's spring time for Hitler and Germany. Bump Ba Ba Ba waou!  The new step is the goose step for me.  Oh, It's spring time for Hitler and Germany..."

I guess Mr Wolf sold it latter to Craig Gottleib.  He shows it off in his YouTube video, here is a link:

It makes me think about how all this old junk floats around the planet lost in the sea of collectables.  It will outlast us all, unless someone recycles it.  But maybe Hitler's hat shouldn't be recycled.  It is evidence that that guy truly existed, that he was real, flesh and blood like you and I.  If you want to see what is left of Hitler's flesh and blood, you have to go to a museum in Moscow Russia.  The Russians wanted proof that Hitler was dead and hauled his body back to Russia.

I also thought it was interesting how Graig Gottleib ripped off the theam for the show "Two Broke Girls" in his video.  Mmmm... Kat Dennings. <3

I latter saw the uniform in a 2014 magazine advertisement for the "SOS" Show of Shows.  The largest Militaria collector's show in the United States.  I am sure it will probably change hands more as time goes by.  At least an American GI got some good War Loot back in WW2.  I only tried Hitler's hat on for like two seconds as the photo of me wearing it was taken.  2014 was the year I started filming my Nazi Zombie Horror Movie titled "Natzee Zombie Carnage".  I've seen a lot of cool militaria, and tried to make my Zombies look like the Germans.  Also act like them too, as the Bag Guys in the film. "V For Victory!"

My fave kind of WW2 hat is the M-1941 "Jeep Cap", or the M-1941 "Daisy Mae".

Here is a link to me standing next to Stalin's jacket.
