You make something out of wax and then invest it in a mixture of plaster, sand and water. You let the investment dry and cook it in a kiln to melt all the wax out. You then poor hot liquid bronze into the cavity. You need vents for the flow of the bronze. This one had flaws because not all of the wax melted out. It also could have sued some better vents at the top. I might try casting another one someday.
