1956 Grease Automotive and Artillery

I liked watching old War Movies, and my Grandfather was in the Army Air Forces during WW2.  My Mom had three Uncles in the Marine Corps.  I was interested in all the old equipment that the soldiers were using.  I mostly know about American issue equipment from WW1 to WW2.  I have been making an effort to study other periods and nations. 

The photo shown here is of two cans of "Grease Automotive & Artillery".  They have a "2/56" which is the date of February 1956.  They were made by the Inland Gra. & Chemical Company in Chicago Illinois.  There is a bunch of M-1956 equipment that was designed in the same year that these cans were made.  I would say that these cans of grease are from the Vietnam War era.  Some items from WW2 thorough the 1950s were latter used in the Vietnam Conflict.  These cans have lids that pry off like paint cans.
